Joining Match.com
Registering is simple, enter a few details and select state, city
etc. Then they want your credit card, even though they do provide a free trial
for a few days. So to fully test the site you need to provide these details.
Of course, you can still search the rather elegantly designed site
to see the range of people available.
The Match.com Site
The approach is that of keeping things looking great, but being easy
to navigate. They've really put a huge effort into trying to simplify the browsing
and searching more than many sites have.
Detailed Search - Keyword search allows you to specify anything
that comes to mind, as does the custom search with areas such as lifestyle/appearance
and background/values all selectable criteria. You can save search results for
modification and tweaking later.
Browsing Results - it's very easy to browse through search
results and contact people.
The profiles are brilliantly presented contain a lot of info - How
active they are on the site (last logged on), personality, attraction, any video/voice
they have recorded for their profile, plus their actual location/age/profile.
Prices for membership are at July 2004

3 months for $14.95 a month (Billed in 1 payment of $44.85)

This is a handy little chat tool.
Match.com Verdict
The service certainly isn't the cheapest, but it is a great design,
your details are safe (no worries about cancelling your account or security issues)
and there are many people in their database.
